Catsuit can be traced back to 1940s at least. Although the current catsuits are made of lycra spandex,which had been invented until 1959.
Catsuit prevalance
From 1960s to 1990s,wearing catsuits had become highly popular.People were wearing them while doing aerobic exercise and dancing disco during 1970s and 1980s. Around 1980,it had become street fashion to dance disco in catsuits.
